Sullurpeta Chengalamma Temple

Chengalamma Temple Sullurpeta is located on the banks of Kanlangi river. There is another name for Chengalamma Goddess is Tenkali ( Dakshina Kali)

History says that Goddess Chengalamma was established during fourth and fifth centuries. Chengalamma idol was found in the near by river by few boys who went for swimming in the river and they brought the Idol to the current place.

The temple lies to the southern tip of Sullurpeta which is well connected with major cities like Chennai, Tirupati, Nellore

400 years old Chengalamma Tree in the temple premises acts as a boon giver to all devotees.
